Taraji P. Henson brought the star power -- and sexy style -- to Palm Springs, California!
On Thursday, the Color Purple actress, 53, wore a bright green dress as she posed for pictures on the red carpet at the 35th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala at the desert city's Convention Center.
The bright green gown featured sparkles and a deep-plunge neckline. Henson’s dress was form-fitting with loose sleeves that stopped just above her elbows.
Henson wore her hair slicked back in a high ponytail with drop earrings. She kept her accessories minimal, opting to not wear a necklace, but showing off several rings on her fingers.
Henson completed her gala look with Una 90 gold embossed leather mules from Malone Souliers.
Lenny Kravitz, Willem Dafoe, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell were among the other stars in attendance.
The evening's honorees included Emma Stone for her role in Poor Things, Cillian Murphy for Oppenheimer, Greta Gerwig for Barbie, Colman Domingo for Rustin and Danielle Brooks for The Color Purple — which both Henson and Domingo, 54, costar in.
The Color Purple recently earned the second-biggest Christmas Day opening of all time. The musical, which is currently in theaters, is a screen adaptation of the Broadway musical. It is based on Alice Walker's novel, which was previously adapted for the big screen in 1985.
In early December, the cast gathered for the Los Angeles premiere of the film. The Warner Bros. Pictures production includes Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg as co-producers.
A synopsis for the remake reads: "A musical adaptation of Alice Walker's novel about the life-long struggles of an African-American woman living in the South during the early 1900s." Henson plays Shug Avery, a sultry blues singer with a heart of gold who is adored by men and envied by most women.

While doing promo interviews for the film, Henson told Gayle King for SiriusXM radio that she was "tired of working so hard" and "getting paid a fraction of the cost."
The actress’ comments about her past salaries went viral.
Following the interview with King, Henson shared a photo of herself and Winfrey, 69, on Instagram. In her caption, she thanked her supporters for the outpouring of love, and the mogul for making her “feel heard.”
She said Winfrey “has been nothing less than a steady and solid beacon of light to ALL OF THE CAST of The Color Purple!!! She has provided ENCOURAGEMENT, GUIDANCE and UNWAVERING SUPPORT to us all.”
Henson concluded by thanking the former talk show host: “She told me personally to reach out to her for ANYTHING I needed, and I did! It took ONE CALL… ONE CONVERSATION… and ONE DECISION MAKING BLACK WOMAN to make me feel heard.”
